Mckayla and her beloved baby seal

She loves this little stuffed seal! She always asks for it when she goes to sleep at night and for naps. I told her to give the baby seal hugs and snapped this shot with my throw together studio set-up. Ha! I'm in love with this picture!

Follow the rainbow

I was looking through some old photos I took and found this. I can't remember if I did it on purpose, but in the case of this rainbow, there's not a pot of gold at the bottom, but I'd say cash is just as good!

Christmas 2010

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year! Thanks Ali and Howard! A few great things were:

A wonderful personal letter exchange
Very enjoyable time spent with family
A warm beautiful home to spend it in
A yummy homemade breakfast with fabulous french toast and bacon
Fun games and puzzles
Nice visits from Rick, Lisa, and Aunt Wendy
Fun watching Mckayla enjoy opening gifts and playing with new toys
Taking pictures of everyone enjoying things and Mckayla in the snow
Looking at the Christmas tree and feeling VERY grateful for my life, family and Savior

This Christmas season

I've been trying to relax and enjoy the holiday spirit this year. I didn't try to over-do everything and get all stressed out. It's been really nice just spending time with family, cooking, baking, staying home when it's snowy outside, and reading religious materials. Last night I had the chance to read The Living Christ. It wasn't Christmasy, but it gave me time to reflect on the Savior and his sacrifice for us. After all, we musn't forget the basis of CHRIST-mas. I do hope everyone is in good spirits this year! Have a Merry Christmas :)
