Vacation in Park City

We went to Park City over the weekend to celebrate the 4rth and have a family vacation. We stayed in this AMAZING 4 bed 4 1/2 bath condo with a kitchen, living, dining, fireplace and the works! We went golfing, out to eat at Grub steak, played monopoly, ate goodies, read, went to the pool, sat in our private hot tub, watched movies, ate more goodies, went for hikes, went shopping, took Mckayla to ride the merry-go-round, and had good visits! It was a great time. Thank you Ali and Howard for such a great time!!!

Pics

Okay, so the truth is I don't really like writing blog posts. Writing is NOT a strength of mine by any stretch of the imagination. So as usual, here are more pics to enjoy :)

Mckayla at Bell's Book and Candle

I found a new spot to do pictures! It's super cute and classic looking. Here are a few pics I snapped of Mckayla before my actual subjects arrived. Click here to view the actual photo shoot.

The latest of our little Mckayla

She's almost 18 months old! She has 4 teeth and one on the way. She knows a bunch of her animal names and sounds and tries to sing her ABC's. She likes to be read to and points out all the things in the book she knows. She loves to be outside and we can't wait for the summer so we can go swimming!

Some stuff I made

I was going to post this so I could link to my friends craft blog, but I was a day too late. So here it is anyway. These are just some little projects I've done to try and make my house a little prettier. I always try to do my decor on a small budget and use things I already have. I already had this big silver frame I got from big lots a few years ago for $10! The black boxes I got in a set from Robert's like 6 years ago. The shelf is from Ikea for about $11. The matching frames are from Tai Pan at $2.75 each, and the ribbon from Wal-mart for a dollar. The prints in the frame are about $0.57 from costco. The "summer" boxes are the same ones that say Harvest on the back that I used last fall. I got the idea to do the other side a different season from my friend. The utensil holder and rocks were on clearance at Walmart for about 4-5 bucks total (dont look at my ugly utensils). Some of the other pieces were a little more expensive, but sometimes you have to spend a little to get something that completes the decor.

Aquarium

We went to the new Aquarium in Sandy Saturday with Moo and Chris and Maddie! It sure was neat! $9.00 for adults, $7.00 dollars for children and 2 and under are free. Great family outing!
